How does Social Media Affect Teenagers?

How does Social Media Affect Teenagers?

Many parents worry about how exposure to technology might affect toddlers development. We know our preschoolers are picking up new social and cognitive skills at a stunning pace, and we don’t want hours spent glued to an iPad to impede that. But adolescence is an equally important period of rapid development, and too few of us are paying attention to how our teenagers’ use of technology—much more intense and intimate than a 3-year-old playing with dad’s iPhone—is affecting them. In fact, experts worry that the social media and text messages that have become so integral to teenage life are promoting anxiety and lowering self-esteem.

CONFIDENCE

POEM ON CONFIDENCE
What is in you,
Is what really defines you.
No matter what people say
Live your life, your own way.
To live a happy life
You just have to give a healthy smile.
Believe in yourself,
Have faith and confidence.
No matter what people say,
Live your life, your own way.

Better alone than in a bad company.

Better alone than in a bad company.

The bad company always knocks but belonging or not belonging depends on you. It is as contagious as a good company. It spreads like wildfire. It does no good to anybody and it just destroys all the good moral present in you which keeps you going in life.
Being alone is way better than having a company that will just break you down when it is gone. A person is known by the company they keep and he is seen as a moral and intelligent person when he is seen moving with well-behaved and intelligent people. It is actually worse than a cobra. A cobra’s bite invites quick death but the bad company’s sting makes a man suffer forever. When still in school or college, people are more prone to fall prey to the bad company than adults. Grown-ups are much aware of the consequences of the bad company due to their mature age and rich experience of life. But the teens are misled and all this results in them doing unwise and foolish acts and it brings the bad name, disgrace, and unhappiness not only for themselves but for all those who had once considered them the only hope for the family.
So to conclude I would just like to say that “Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in a bad company.”

An Ideal Student

An Ideal Student
An ideal student is one who is fully conscious of his duties and responsibilities. A student, who scores high marks, is not necessarily an ideal student. He may set a new record in the school but can prove to be a total failure in his real life. An ideal student should be the embodiment of simple living things and high thinking. He is fearless and bold enough to face the trials and tribulation of life. They Eire good mannered they are brilliant in studies. But they are conscious of their mission in life. They are bold, frank, truthful and honest but never mean, selfish and narrow-minded. Politeness is their ornament. They hate none but love all.
An ideal student lives in accordance with the rules of conduct and discipline. This is the time of life when the foundation of character is laid. It has aptly been said that if wealth is lostDescription: ideal-student.jpg nothing is lost. If health is lost something is lost, and if the character is lost everything is lost. He should select his friends intelligently and wisely. He must be fully conscious to ensure that no evil tempts him. He knows very well that a single rotten apple spoils the whole basket. An ideal student knows that he owes a lot to his parents, never forgets to look after them when he enters his adult life. He is a servant of humanity. He shares the worries and problems with the members of his family. He takes a keen interest in social service. He should be active in finding out solutions to various problems prevalent in the society.
Our country needs such students who have muscles of iron and nerves of steel. They should be able to dive deep into the secrets and mysteries of the universe. They should be determined to do their duties even at the risk of their own lives. Such students alone can help the nation in achieving prosperity and all-round development...

Video Games: yay or nay!

Video Games ... Is Good For You?

While it may be disliked by parents, and wives around the world, the video game industry is a permanent part of our world. From its humble beginnings in the 80s, the video game industry has exploded into a ten-billion-dollar subculture.

Stress Relief

Video games are an excellent way to relieve stress. For the average non-gamer, in fact, spending 15 or 20 minutes a day playing an easy to learn, though difficult to conquer. However, the more complex and involved games may actually be more effective than their simpler brethren.

Quicker Decision Making

This tends to go hand-in-hand with the previous example. Logical skills are a good thing, but they lose their luster if used slowly. Quick thinking skills are a good thing but can be disastrous without proper logic. Putting the two together, however, can have an immensely beneficial impact on your life. Most games give you a time limit on reaching a decision.
These three arguments are actually enough to make me believe that everyone should play video games. Everyone knows that stress relief is becoming increasingly important as our world becomes increasingly stressful. Quick decision making and logical reasoning are huge assets in life. So, video games are not bad, It’s our duty to play correct games according to our age.

3 Time Management Tips That Actually Work.

3 Time Management Tips That Actually Work.
Time management can be tough. How can we manage our time to live healthier and happier
? Do the things that we know are important, and still handle the responsibilities that are urgent?
1.      Eliminate half–work at all costs.
In our age of constant distraction, it's easy to split our attention between what we should be doing and what society bombards us with. Usually, we're balancing the needs of messages, emails, and to–do lists at the same time that we are trying to get something accomplished. It's rare that we are fully engaged in the task at hand.
Call this division of your time and energy “half–work.”
Here are some examples of half–work…
·        You start writing a report, but stop randomly to check your phone for no reason or to open up Facebook or Twitter.
·        Your mind wanders to your email inbox while you're on the phone with someone.

2.      Do the most important thing first.

The decisions and choices that you make throughout the day tend to drain your willpower.
·        If you do the most important thing first, then you’ll never have a day when you didn’t get something important done.
·        By following this simple strategy, you will usually end up having a productive day, even if everything doesn't go according to plan.

3.      Reduce the scope, but stick to the schedule.
No matter what the circumstance and no matter how small the work, you know you're going to finish today's task. That's how little goals become lifetime habits.
Finish something today, even if the scope is smaller than you expected.

Problems of Young People

                      Problems of Young People /

“Millions of people can believe in you, and yet none of it matters if you don’t believe in yourself.” – Unknown

One of the biggest problems of “Young People” or mostly known as “Teenagers” is being insecure. Believing in ourselves is as hard as learning a new language. We want to bring out the best thing in us, and show it to the world, but then it all stops because of being insecure. As a scientific research showed that at least 10% - 15% of us go through “Insomnia”, which is no sleep for weeks. It mostly happens because of depression and anxiety, which is a common thing among the highschoolers, happening because of discouraging, bullying and criticization.
Being embarrassed in front of others is a great deal to most of the people, it’s all about dignity and self-respect. When we as students go through being embarrassed, the first thought that comes is to put an end to it, for once and for all, some may fight through it and some might think to never exist. If anything bad happens we turn to self-harm and even go on wrong paths which may put our future in danger. These problems are going on every 2nd person’s life it isn’t a big deal. Just chill out because EVERYONE of us is SPECIAL.
