How Can Certain People Influence Your Life In A Good Way?

How Can Certain People Influence Your Life In A
Good Way?
•     Mom’s lessons hold true for children, teens, college students, and adults. It is well documented that our fundamental beliefs and attitudes are greatly influenced by the people we allow into our lives. When we associate with others who have a greater skill set or have achieved more, we are challenged. It brings out the best in us and inspires us to do better. Observing and modeling someone’s positive example will help us reach new heights. Surrounding ourselves with optimistic and uplifting people has a direct cause and effect on our demeanor, confidence level and performance. It’s all positive! If we hang out with pessimistic people who are critical of us, their negative comments will likely impact how we view our abilities and our self-image. There are always people who are there to support us hence we must always keep a good image and do our best to live a happy and fulfilling life.

Delhi turns into Hitler’s gas chamber!

Delhi turns into Hitler’s gas chamber!
'This way for the gas, ladies and gentlemen' (said by the Nazis in concentration camp experience) - this is perhaps what Delhi's signboards should say as the city's air pollution is being compared to Hitler's gas chambers. What was used as a means of torture for Jews by the Nazi government has turned into the reality of every Delhiite!
The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the city shot up to 451 on a scale where the maximum level is 500. AQI above 300 means 'very unhealthy' air quality. It can have widespread effects in general population and can have a serious impact on the sensitive group. It will trigger widespread health issues, followed by health warnings. Everyone is advised to avoid physical activity outdoors.
The crop burning in Haryana and Punjab is being blamed as the primary reason for this sudden toxic smog enveloping the city and its neighboring areas.
Not many know that PM 2.5 (fine particulate matter), which is being overly used these days, is a deadly air pollutant which can settle in a person's lungs and can be hazardous to people's health. It is also responsible for reducing visibility.
The demand for air purifiers and anti-pollution masks have shot up substantially, as 200 million people fear to succumb to the toxic air.
Inhaling this air has been equated with smoking 50 cigarettes a day by doctors. So, who is worse, chain smokers or Delhiites? The latter, it seems.
So, in how many ways fog harms your body? What are its causes and effects? Here we take a look at the undercurrents of the subject.
What is smog?
It refers to a combination of smoke and fog, thus forming the word smog. It is a complex mixture that is formed by various pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides and dust particles, which interact with the sunlight to form ground-level ozone, leading to the build-up of haze that hangs in industrial cities.
Causes of smog
Smog is caused as a result of industrial activities, vehicular traffic, open burning, higher temperature, Geography of a place, sunlight and calmer winds. These factors contribute to an all-encompassing smog, which can remain trapped in the atmosphere with higher temperature and sunlight.
Effects of smog
Exposure to smog can be severely harmful to the health of the exposure as it can cause/aggravate health conditions such as follows:
Chest infections/Irritation
Worsening of asthma/bronchitis/emphysema
Cold and eye irritation
Premature mortality
Damage to crops
Who is at a greater risk?   Smog affects everyone differently, depending on their lifestyle, health condition, and age. The groups which are the most susceptible are Children & People with respiratory disorders.

How does Social Media Affect Teenagers?

How does Social Media Affect Teenagers?

Many parents worry about how exposure to technology might affect toddlers development. We know our preschoolers are picking up new social and cognitive skills at a stunning pace, and we don’t want hours spent glued to an iPad to impede that. But adolescence is an equally important period of rapid development, and too few of us are paying attention to how our teenagers’ use of technology—much more intense and intimate than a 3-year-old playing with dad’s iPhone—is affecting them. In fact, experts worry that the social media and text messages that have become so integral to teenage life are promoting anxiety and lowering self-esteem.

CONFIDENCE

POEM ON CONFIDENCE

No matter what people say

You just have to give a healthy smile.

Better alone than in a bad company.

Better alone than in a bad company.

The bad company always knocks but belonging or not belonging depends on you. It is as contagious as a good company. It spreads like wildfire. It does no good to anybody and it just destroys all the good moral present in you which keeps you going in life.
Being alone is way better than having a company that will just break you down when it is gone. A person is known by the company they keep and he is seen as a moral and intelligent person when he is seen moving with well-behaved and intelligent people. It is actually worse than a cobra. A cobra’s bite invites quick death but the bad company’s sting makes a man suffer forever. When still in school or college, people are more prone to fall prey to the bad company than adults. Grown-ups are much aware of the consequences of the bad company due to their mature age and rich experience of life. But the teens are misled and all this results in them doing unwise and foolish acts and it brings the bad name, disgrace, and unhappiness not only for themselves but for all those who had once considered them the only hope for the family.
So to conclude I would just like to say that “Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in a bad company.”

An Ideal Student

An Ideal Student
An ideal student is one who is fully conscious of his duties and responsibilities. A student, who scores high marks, is not necessarily an ideal student. He may set a new record in the school but can prove to be a total failure in his real life. An ideal student should be the embodiment of simple living things and high thinking. He is fearless and bold enough to face the trials and tribulation of life. They Eire good mannered they are brilliant in studies. But they are conscious of their mission in life. They are bold, frank, truthful and honest but never mean, selfish and narrow-minded. Politeness is their ornament. They hate none but love all.
An ideal student lives in accordance with the rules of conduct and discipline. This is the time of life when the foundation of character is laid. It has aptly been said that if wealth is lostDescription: ideal-student.jpg nothing is lost. If health is lost something is lost, and if the character is lost everything is lost. He should select his friends intelligently and wisely. He must be fully conscious to ensure that no evil tempts him. He knows very well that a single rotten apple spoils the whole basket. An ideal student knows that he owes a lot to his parents, never forgets to look after them when he enters his adult life. He is a servant of humanity. He shares the worries and problems with the members of his family. He takes a keen interest in social service. He should be active in finding out solutions to various problems prevalent in the society.
Our country needs such students who have muscles of iron and nerves of steel. They should be able to dive deep into the secrets and mysteries of the universe. They should be determined to do their duties even at the risk of their own lives. Such students alone can help the nation in achieving prosperity and all-round development...

Video Games: yay or nay!

Video Games ... Is Good For You?

While it may be disliked by parents, and wives around the world, the video game industry is a permanent part of our world. From its humble beginnings in the 80s, the video game industry has exploded into a ten-billion-dollar subculture.

Stress Relief

Video games are an excellent way to relieve stress. For the average non-gamer, in fact, spending 15 or 20 minutes a day playing an easy to learn, though difficult to conquer. However, the more complex and involved games may actually be more effective than their simpler brethren.

Quicker Decision Making

This tends to go hand-in-hand with the previous example. Logical skills are a good thing, but they lose their luster if used slowly. Quick thinking skills are a good thing but can be disastrous without proper logic. Putting the two together, however, can have an immensely beneficial impact on your life. Most games give you a time limit on reaching a decision.
These three arguments are actually enough to make me believe that everyone should play video games. Everyone knows that stress relief is becoming increasingly important as our world becomes increasingly stressful. Quick decision making and logical reasoning are huge assets in life. So, video games are not bad, It’s our duty to play correct games according to our age.
